Near You! Got that?
In February and March many of the members of the Gaylord Golf Mecca – which includes 15 championship courses in one destination featuring multiple flagship resorts and 11 package partners – make the pilgrimage to several golf shows.
They march to those shows prepared to help golfers plan their vacations, outings, weekend getaways and more to America’s Summer Golf Mecca in and around Gaylord, Michigan.
Black Lake Golf Club, Gaylord Country Club, Indian River Golf Club, The Loon Golf Resort, Michaywe’ – The Pines, The Natural at Beaver Creek Resort, Otsego Club & Resort and Treetops Resort will all be at your service in some manner at some or all of the shows.
Write these down as must visits:
The West Michigan Golf Show by Showspan, Inc. is Feb. 9-11 at DeVos Place in downtown Grand Rapids. It’s been announced that World Golf Hall of Fame member, Michigan native and northern Michigan resident, Meg Mallon, is the headliner, too.
The Michigan Golf Show is March 9-11 at Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi near Detroit. It’s billed as the largest consumer golf show in the country. It doesn’t disappoint.
The Chicago Golf Show is Feb. 24-26 and is held on the north side of the city in Rosemont, Ill., at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. It is celebrating 35 years.
You can find helpful Mecca member representatives at the golf shows mentioned, as well as shows in Toledo and Cleveland, Ohio, Fort Wayne, Ind., and more.
Planning, promotions, news and open discussions with representatives of the Gaylord Golf Mecca member properties make the shows especially valuable to golfers who by early February are starting to feel the itch to golf, by March have the fever and by April are ready to swing away as soon as weather permits.
It’s never too early to start planning your 2018 visits to the Gaylord Golf Mecca, and the planning is perfectly simple with Mecca members ready to assist you face-to-face. You can lock in dates, rates and rounds on specific award-winning courses right at the show.
In addition, a golf itch can get scratched. Almost every show has vendors selling clubs and clothing at value prices. Quick tips, talks and even short lessons are available from PGA professionals and golf gurus as part of the shows.
Need to swing? Large netted hitting areas, contests, simulators and more are available. Treetops even sponsors an indoor par 3 hole-in-one contest with a $25,000 prize at the West Michigan show.
Start by planning your visit to one of the shows, and go meet the great Gaylord Golf Mecca folks.
